With the fall season in full swing, I was researching different smoothie recipes that I thought I would like to try. I came across Ambitious Kitchen for my inspiration and what I specifically would like in my smoothie based on my specific tastes for the season and I found Chai-Spiced Butternut Squash!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked butternut squash (cooled)
- 1 banana (frozen for creaminess)
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon chai spice blend (or a mix of cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)
Instructions:
- In a blender, combine the cooked butternut squash, frozen banana, almond milk, maple syrup, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. If desired, add ice cubes and blend again to chill.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as needed.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy your delicious Chai-Spiced Butternut Squash Smoothie!

I know many like to avoid cold beverages as the temps take a plunge in some places but if it contains a fall flavor, I am game! I love trying new things. It’s too easy getting stuck in a rut on many recipes, including seasonal and holiday recipes. Chai-Spiced Butternut Squash is fall goodness in a glass. Are you ready to try it for yourself?
If you want to completely change your chai-spiced smoothie into a different flavorful experience, instead of butternut squash, try including almond butter in its place. It will pair well with the banana, almond milk, maple syrup and vanilla extract! This sounds yummy, I think I might try this version as well!
